This past two weeks, Royal’s play became better with every minute play but in the end it was not enough to earn any points and to qualify for the Semifinals of the Illinois State Cup. 

Royal played a very good game in Week 7 of the NSL but was unable to put HNNK Hrvat away as they gave up a silly 2-0 lead with an own goal and undisciplined backpass. Hrvat went on to take the game in a decisive manner with a 5-1 win. However, Royal dominated possession for most of the game and was hoping to take that positive trend the next night vs Gazelle SC in the State Cup.
